Key#1 Get Rid Of The "Wilderness Mentality"

In the OT, as the Israelites were in the wilderness, they always relied on God to give them what they need, having God to bring them out of circumstances. However, God wants us to step out and be independant. Don't always rely and wait upon God to give and help you in everything, but step out and fight for what we what we need. We should be working. In the wilderness, we'll never acheive great things. We will only see that little amount of abundance in the wilderness, when out of wilderness there flows with "honey and milk". Therefore, God wants to bring us out of the wilderness to the promise land that flows "honey and milk".

Key#2 Be Ready To Touch The Unclean

During Jesus's ministry, He had touched the uncleans. For example, He had touched the lepers to heal them, sat down with the tax collectors to eat... etc... We should not avoid the world but go to the world to reach out to them, just like Jesus had in the NT. Simon Peter, the fisherman, worked in the Sea of Galilee. It was his workplace where Jesus showed him dreams and visions, and the place where he was discipled. So it will not be in the church that God will show us dreams and disciple us and mould us, but it will be our workplace! It's where we should expect God to move, disciple and mould us!

Key#3 Expect A Storm In The Journey

Mark 4:36-38, Mark 6:45
Being a Christian, we don't ecpect that our lives will be so comfortable, everything will go on so smoothly and we will not fail in everything we do. However as Christians, we should get ready to be uncomfortable. God sees that the journey that we go through is more important that the destination. Ultimately, we are going to achieve and reach our destination. It's the journey that make us a stronger person. God is more concern for our character than our comfort. God wants us to rise up in faith for ourselves when there's a storm.

Key#4 Ask God For A "Rhema"

Matthew 14:25,28
For every new level to go, we need a new encounter with the Lord. Jesus and His disciples were in the boat on the sea. Jesus was then walking on the water! Then Jesus gave a word specifically, a Rhema word, only to Peter to walk on the water, and he did it. He was the only man in the whole history that walked on the water other than Jesus. Jesus gave non of the other disciples the word to walk on water and therefore non of the other disciples had succeeded. Therefore, ask God for a Rhema word to do the impossible.

Key#5 Use The Power Of Your Imagination

Psalm 1:1-3
In the realm of vision and dreams, there is no limit that our mind can contain. Whenever we can imagine, we can get it!

Key#6 Develop The strength To Handle Failures

*Strength is the capacity or ability to bounce back when you are knocked down.*
There's no guarantee that whatever we are doing will be successful. But as we failed and being knocked down, let's stand up once again to continue to work for what we are doing, don't give up! A person who is strong will take a short time to bounce back when he/she is being knocked down.

Key#7 Call Out To Jesus When You Are Sinking

Matthew 14:31-32
When Peter was sinking into the sea during the storm, he called out to Jesus. Jesus was just beside him, nearest to him. Jesus reached for Peter's hand to save him and they walked on the water together. When we are facing a storm and feel that we are sinking, call out to Jesus. Actually, Jesus is nearer than the breath that we breathe! When we call for Him, He wants to be there to save us and be there for us. Pray! Prayer is the key to success!!

Hey guys, did not know that a CG blog existed. Well its 2007 already and i want to agree together with candice that we can multiply this year. We are going to get Cg of the year. Well we are heading in the right direction as we can see from christmas. We are capable of bringing friends. We already have 3 decisions from the last 2 weeks which i feel is a great testimony of what God is able to do through us.
I thank God for all of you, each and everyone for making Cg such a fun filled and 'crazy' place to be in. You have made it a very enjoyable place for people to come and have fun. W384 is a wonderful Cg to be in and its because of each and everyone of you. From the lame gang of 3(you know who you are) to the more serious people, each of you are unique and marvelously created by God. It has been a privilege to serve God together with you guys.
oK, 2007 WILL BE THE BREAKTHROUGH YEAR FOR THIS CG!!!!

Paises to Lord as His love is always faithful. Hi, It Mr Sam here again.Wow, this blog looks pretty "abandoned".Come guys, lets some of yours thoughts post here.You may never know if it will make a different.By FAITH, i know some of you will read what i had post.i tried to write it in complete sentences, so i can improve my English and get my point across.

First of all i like to paise my brothers and sisters in chirst.Like Kahkeong who made a breakthough of bringing 6 friends to the reach out programme.And Candice who always there when i need a listening ear.And Our guitarist John , Ye Zhe and Joey who play really awesome music.And Hui Ting who is always hungry for God.Yeah,Paise God.This is a beginning of something great.

Actually i been reaching out for the past few month, and the experiences that i gain is very rewarding.I would like to share it with you guys here in this blog.I found out that the reason why people have a negative impression of us when we invite them to chruch is because of the impression of other chirstian had left before us.Making this task a harder one. Alot of new friends had said to me " LAST TIME this chirstian force me day and night to go chruch" and "LAST TIME My friend said i go to hell if i don't join" i think you guys get the picture.
Don't worry,with God all is possible. To get a person to save in Jesus name is how much you Love and how much you pray for that person.Once you show how much you care, the new friends will start to ask you about the Gospel even before you want to share.This has been happening to me alot of time.Once you start to pray for the person, God will direct your path to people who need to be "heal"...
That is all i have to share... I've been making alot of mistake and wrong choices for this year.It hasn't been a good year for me.. Hope my thought will be some help...with faith i can move mountains.yeah Amen!

I found two verses while i'm doing my own quiet time,maybe it a word in season that God wants me to know i don't know,because word mean different thing for different people

" ..."Yes", the King replied, "but to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given.But from those who are unfaithful even what little they have will be taken away".." -LUKE 19:26
So many time we always curse and complain of thing we don't have.Things like looks, Money, frame, Gadgets and a good family. But we always forget to about the things we have, it always the things we have that made the different and not what we don't have.
All good men of God in the bible uses things that they have to overcome their diffculty.Things that we have are a blessing from God.He is watching us everyday how we use the things we have-His words, the power of prayer and Faith.
Situation may not seen to be bright.But i have Faith, because I have a team of great and awesome brothers and sisters.Who are on fire to reach out,Creative and fun loving..Paise the Lord. That lead me to the second verse i found-
"We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair" 2 cor 4:8 Paise the Lord.

Its been a long time since I post something!

Well, the services have been going from glory to glory, last week Pst Tan talked about not losing hope and to hold on to our visions. I believe its really a message for us. Perhaps some of us have lost the fire and feel that what's the point of coming to church. Dont give up.

God said that we will surely face persecution and trails, but know one thing for sure. God's grace is sufficient for us.

The bible says this :
“ being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. ”- Philippians 1:6

As long as we allow God to move and mould in our lives, we are assured to live a better tmr. He will forver continue trying to help us and change us.

So let's put our hope in Jesus Christ!

Recently I have been meeting alot of "Christians". From Taxi drivers to Friends... One thing I get very sad about is that when I see fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, do not live a fulfilling life and when they are more talkers then doers. God has called us into His presence to live a HAPPY life, an ABUNDANT life. Not a sad one, or one that is below the standards of God.

We are blessed to be in City Harvest Church, where everybody loves each other and teach other. In other churches, some they do not care if one comes or not, some dont even bother to teach their fellow brother and sisters what is right or wrong, some dont even teach the right doctrine (sermons), teaching crazy grace...

I really thank God for bro Mj, for all those sisters and brothers who have taught me in City Harvest Church. Some made me cry, some made me angry, some made me upset. But at the end of the day, I changed and realised my mistake, then improve. I think that is the most important thing at the end of the day. Do you become a better person. (:

I think love sometimes isnt just sweet words, comforting encouragements, gifts, spending time together. But love is also aggresive, irritatingly patient and persistent.

Hey Members,your all time freaky,Shinn Asuka who comes and goes as the wind is finally here to post something!

Hmm,i actually came here to post to tell everyone that i,actually regret for telling Carolyn today morning that i dont want to go for CG just because i having muscle pain...

Then Carolyn tells me to call Brother Ming Chin,so i call as i was told lor...I spoke to Brother Ming Chin that i dont want to come.Brother Ming Chin was actually sick from the day Emerge started,but he still continues to give Bible Study Classes and CG Meetings,and he told me not to lose my Salvation,which actually crippled the devil's frontial attack on my mentallity.Honestly,im kinda shocked,only then i know that the devil was the cause of every bad things i had...i couldnt sleep,the feeling of dont want to attend CG and services...all dont to the devil's attack on my mentality...

Then i decide to consider over it,then i decide to go for CG Meeting today.

Which reminds me of this sentences someone told me,but i cant remember...

"If someone you know can sustain and endures pain and sickness for days and continue normal activities as usual,why not you?As a NPCC Cadet ranking at corporal,you should be able to do it,but look at yourself,you are nothing but a person,you are not the same person i know since Sec 1 who is different from other cadets and had the mentality of a leader."

Im purge by the lightning of guilt,i regreted what i told Carolyn and Brother Ming Chin,and decided to attend CG today.

I Promised i will not do that again,and if possible,someone plz remind me of this promise i made.

Since i post only once...i want to thank Carolyn and Sam for their care for me.

Sam and I shared burdens with each other and express our hate for people around us,and then we let it off by forgiving and forgetting,which feels good.Carolyn cheers me up and always tries to talk to me when im "left out" from the CG despite many failures.(dont come chasing me with a sword) XD

Not forgetting Kah Keong,Joey,John. The Three Brothers actually lited my life with their jokes and funny acts! XD

actually,they can be called "The Three Musketeers", anyone think of it? (dont shoot me with your musket) XD

In an atmosphere of praise and worship, there you will find God. But only in prayer, it is only through prayer that the POWER of God is released. The power to change situations, the power to change your life, the power to breakthrough.

Let's really pray. Challenge ourselves to pray more than the usual. Starting from 20mins. Without prayer, we cannot know God. IT IS our line of communication to God. It is God's telephone number.

God is waiting for us every day. Waiting for us to turn to Him in prayer.

1 Cor 2:9-13

" 9 But as it is written:

“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”^[c] 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. Even though many of us are young in age...
But let us not be young in God. Let us grow to become mature believers of the Christ. You can have faith in God for the impossible and you can know things that people have not taught you, cause you have God, the Holy Spirit which is your helper. Who will guide you, teach you. hahaha You own personal Bible study teacher in times when you dont have a teacher. You Special friend when you have no one to turn to, even if you have someone to turn to. There is nothing in this world that can replace God in our lives.

So dont look down on God and yourself. Because of your age or anything.

All things are possible with God, but impossible with man.

Dear w384.....

There was once a friend that told me its through hardships that a friendship is then tested. Xue Ni just reminded me that today. I just feel like sharing to all of you this. Cause one day, in your friendships and even relationship with God you will face hardship, you will face trails persecution and even misunderstanding ( Trust me man!). But its really all these things that will grow the relationship, dont be afraid to make mistakes and change. yeah... But also dont purposely seek to find trouble lar... Haha...

Every time when a problem arises, there is a choice to be made. Good or bad one has to choose. Hahaha... Actually Xue Ni and I was thinking to use this blog as a tool to communicate with each other when there's anything you wish to say or encourage. Let it be bad or good as its through hardship that friendships grow. But there are certain rules that I would like to emphasise on.

Rule 1: Do not have anything that points at one person.
Rule 2: All these things are to be done in love not in anger.

I think rule 2 summarises everything. Hahaha...

Easter has just passed. There's Christmas to look out for next....

This years easter I feel that its as powerful as the other years... Maybe a little less funier...Yeah.
Every time when I go for easter celebration its really a time when I remember what Jesus did for me 2000 years ago. THE nail pierced hands, the strips that He bore. Remember the love and attitude He took with Him when He was crawling towards the cross. Determined to set us free from our sin and bondage.

I am so happy that one of my friend got saved. Well, its the first step. Just like what Rubez said in N239 blog, must continue to water the plant and give sunshine. Our cell group has 2 salvations and 1 rededication!!! Praise the Lord for that, but its just the beginning man! :) hehehe...
Well Father in Heaven must be smilling and dancing around the throne.... Jia you wor W384!

Interview with Candice~

YEAH!! Hallejuah!
Emerge is coming!

These few months, will be a time of preperation and anticipation as the days slowly approach as...
Many of our members are involve in Parade of School in short POS! It is one of the most exciting highlights of the whole emerge programme! Whereby our members will be dancing to the beat of the music and some thrown high up into the skies..

So W384 blog team has initiated a small interview with Candice to see how she feel about the whole emerge thing!

W384: So how do find this years emerge?
Candice: I think it will be exciting and challenging.

W384: Why?
Candice: There alot of new catagories of challenges compared to the past emerge such as the spelling bee, arm wrestling and chc funniest video which happens that Kah keong, charol are taking part in! Yeah!

W384: What impacts you the most in emerge?
Candice: The section that really changes my life is the preaching of the word from Pst Kong, every year after listening and going, my life has always gone to another level! Can't wait to hear what Pst Kong has to share!

W384: Why do you think people should join emerge?
Candice: They can discover their talents and develop it, but the most important thing is that they can experience the presence of God in a greater way. Like never before.

Candice: I used to be a shy person and dont really talk much, cause i was not confident with myself. But ever since emerge I have become more confident and stronger in the Lord. Now I know Jesus even more and have a deeper relationship with Him

Candice: Do not be afraid or worry about the ending because at least you know that you have tried and trusted God. Cause God is a suprising God... hahaha.. Jia You! =)

Trust in God

Taken from John 2:2-3
" and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus mother said to him, They have no more wine."
Over here there is a SHORTAGE of wine, there is a need. Mary, Jesus's mother had a problem and asked Jesus to solve it. Mary was probably not asking Jesus for a miracle, she was simply hoping that Jesus might solve this major problem and find some wine.

Jesus answered, " Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My time has not yet come."
For any son to reply a mother this was would be a hard to understand and most probably confuse. ( For example: You parents ask you for money when you are not even working and definately you dont have any money. confuse already?)

Therefore Mary was not sure what Jesus was going to do. But she remembered something, Jesus was not just a son but He was also the Son of God. Although Mary did not understand what Jesus was going to do, She Trusted him to do what was right. ( John 2:5- "His mother said to the servants " Do whatever He tells you.")

Mary submitted to Jesus' way of doing things. She recognised that Jesus was more than her human son- he was the Son of God. When we bring our problems to Christ, we may think we know how God should take care of them. But He may have a completely different plan. Like Mary, we should submit and allow Him to deal with the problem as He sees best!

My question for you today is, do you have any needs that you have not trusted God with? Things that are burdening you so heavy? Well God has already prepared a special plan and answer for it. Trust in Him and all His promises, God will never let you down.

Let God change your water into wine! Enjoy the sweetness~
